Clean and green Baramati
To contribute towards Swachh Bharat Mission, Piaggio Vehicles P vt. Ltd supported Baramati Municipal Council to enhance its capacity for managing waste by providing 5 Special Purpose Vehicle. The objective of the project “Clean and Green Baramati” was to create better community health and improvise living conditions in Municipal areas through systematic waste collection and awareness generation for citizen accountability. It was Launched in presence of Mr. Ajit AnantRao Pawar (Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra).
Ration Kits to TB Patients
Piaggio’s efforts to support and achieve the targets of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and National Health Mission Maharashtra by enabling nutrition security for vulnerable communities. The organization handed over 150 ration kits to Silver Jubilee Hospital, Baramati, helping tuberculosis-affected cancer patients complete their journey towards recovery. Items of a kit included wheat flour, groundnut oil, moong dal, groundnuts.
#GiveHerConfidence: A Menstrual Awareness Campaign
The campaign promoted safe and hygienic practices among women and adolescent girls. The key objective was to dismantle period taboos, increase awareness, and put young girls and women in charge of their menstrual health while encouraging them to do the same for others in society. This was initiated to reduce the gradual dropout rates of girl students from the education system.
To empower women from less-disadvantaged class, bio-degradable sanitary napkins were procured from a self-help group: Saksham Stree and these napkins were directly distributed to the end-user useful for 12 months.
